Flora had no reason to lie to him. Hudson stared at the pill in his hand for a moment before finally swallowing it.

"Transfer five billion to Dr. Ray's account," Flora said, zipping up her backpack without sparing Hudson a glance. "Now, get lost."

Hudson felt a lump form in his throat. He had never been so humiliated in his life! She better hope that pill works!

He turned and left, but he didn't go far. Instead, he waited downstairs. Flora had promised he would be fully recovered in no more than three hours. If he wasn't, she would have to deal with him!

Alexa followed him out.

Once they were gone, the previously bustling lab fell into a tense silence.

"Flora, are you sure that pill will work?" Dr. Ray asked, breaking the silence after a long moment. He and Shawn had finally snapped out of their shock and were clearly anxious.

Hudson had been polite to Flora only because he wanted her treatment. If the pill didn't work, he would definitely hold a grudge for both old and new offenses.

Flora looked up, saw Dr. Ray's worried expression, and smirked. "Just wait for the money. Five billion."

Dr. Ray was speechless. Flora was never one to act recklessly. If she was so confident, she must be sure of the results.

Five billion, just like that? Why did he feel so excited and thrilled?

Downstairs, in the car, Hudson began to feel much better after taking the pill. An hour passed, and he was almost completely recovered. He instinctively reached for his left hand but found it wrapped in hard bandages, his expression darkened. His fingers had been chopped off by Crimson.

The car arrived at the school gate, where a bus was approaching from the opposite direction. Selene was sitting by the window, easily noticeable. The bus was filled with about a dozen people, all wearing white lab coats with the emblem of a medical organization on their chests. They were from the medical organization.
