"Hey there, I'm Orla. Can you show me around?" A young woman approached Shawn.

With her ear-length bob and straight bangs, accented by a bunny hair clip, her single-lidded but large eyes made her look incredibly adorable. Her voice was as sweet as honey when she called him "brother."

Originally, Orla wasn't supposed to be there, but her sister Susan had an emergency, leaving a spot for her to fill. Of all the people, Shawn caught her eye.

"Darcy, could you take her around?" Shawn said, not wanting to escort her himself. He had to help Flora in the storage room.

Orla's expression briefly turned cold when she was handed off to someone else, but she quickly resumed her cheerful demeanor, looking innocent and harmless: "Thank you so much, Darcy."

"Ms. Selene, do you remember me? We've met before. Feel free to ask me anything you wish to know," Alexa eagerly approached Selene, her tone full of enthusiasm.

Selene looked around but didn't see Flora. "Where's Flora?"

Alexa's face fell. She had greeted Selene, but without so much as a glance in her direction, Selene immediately asked about Flora.

"Um... I'm not sure..." She pursed her lips, adding, "Flora rarely comes to the lab, so I don't know where she is."

Alexa knew Flora was in the storage room but deliberately misled Selene to give the impression that Flora was irresponsible and unacademic. Nevertheless, Selene didn't show any signs of displeasure, only a hint of resignation.

That's just her style.

"Just have a look around; I don't need company." Selene didn't like Alexa and walked off quickly, signaling for Alexa not to follow.

Comparing themselves with the medical organization? That would be an embarrassment.

Darcy glared at Orla, internally cursing her as a manipulative charmer.

Orla kept her innocent smile. "I'm sorry, Darcy. I didn't mean to criticize your paper. It's just that professional issues make me serious. This paper... if it were submitted to the medical organization, it would be tossed in the bin."
