Everyone looked like they had seen a ghost, their eyes glued to the screen. The initials "Sz" blazed across it, bold and unrestrained, just like Flora herself. It was impossible to miss.
Mr. Atticus stared at Flora in shock. She really was Sz. He knew all about Sz; the organization had even sent her multiple invites to join as an honorary professor, a position higher than his own. But who would have thought that the legendary Sz was just a teenage girl?
Dr. Ray was equally stunned. Even though he had his suspicions about Flora being Sz, seeing it confirmed was still a shocker. Selene swallowed hard, unable to hide her awe. Flora was truly something else.
Amidst the intense stares from everyone, Flora remained calm. She pressed a key, closing the page, and then lifted her eyes to Orla. Orla's heart skipped a beat as Flora’s gaze locked onto her, making her feel uneasy.
Quickly regaining her composure, Orla blinked innocently, "Sis, you're incredible. I never imagined you were actually Sz. I misunderstood you earlier, sorry about that." Inside, she was seething with jealousy, but she had to keep up appearances. By apologizing first, if Flora pursued the matter, it would make her seem petty.
Orla was cunning, much more so than Susan.
"Accusing her of plagiarism in front of everyone, and now you think a simple misunderstanding clears it all?" Darcy glared at her.
"Orla didn't know the full story; her suspicions were reasonable, and she has already apologized. What more do you want?" retorted a member of the medical organization defensively.
"Brother, let's not argue anymore. It was indeed my mistake, and I apologize." Orla said with her eyes downcast, looking pitiful enough to win everyone's sympathy. The media reporters couldn't help but side with her. When you think about it, her doubt was indeed reasonable.
Flora smiled softly, saying nothing. After gaining the upper hand, Dr. Ray was in high spirits and even gave them the afternoon off. It was time for some fun.
Flora called Connor to pick her up.
"Isn't it five already? Why so early?"
"The professor was in a good mood and gave us the afternoon off," Flora said as she packed her bag, sounding a bit down. "I had takeout for lunch, and it wasn’t good. I’m still hungry."
