Kruz hung up the phone and, with a cautious tone, asked Connor and Flora, "Hey, bro, Flora, mom's wondering if you guys want to head back to the Falcone family."

Connor didn't answer right away. Instead, he glanced at Flora, seeking her input with just a look.

Flora gave a slight nod, and only then did Connor respond with a soft, "Yeah."

Kruz relayed Connor's decision, then hung up and sat up excitedly, grinning at Connor. "Looks like we're heading in the same direction now, bro!"

Over at the Reyes household, just after Flora and Kruz left, Karter had stopped coughing up blood, and his color was looking a whole lot better.

Abbey tidied up her medical gear and casually announced, "Karter's good now. He'll be waking up soon."

"Ms. Abbey, you're the best doctor on Lone Island, no doubt about it!" Everyone chimed in, having seen the whole thing unfold. Abbey seemed to have done almost nothing, yet Karter was on the mend.

Her skills were way beyond Flora's!

Flora was just a wannabe doctor, almost costing Karter his life!

Normally, Abbey would have soaked up the compliments, but today, she felt nothing but awkwardness.

Because it wasn't her who healed Karter.

Still, she wasn't about to spill the beans.

After a moment's thought, she turned to Adrian. "Mr. Adrian, thanks to Flora's intervention, Karter's health has taken a hit. It'll take a while for him to fully recover. I know you and Flora are close, but I hope you won't let her treat Karter again. Her skills might not just fail to help—she could do harm."

She was totally making this up.

She'd already checked Karter, and he was doing a lot better. Even the issues inside were less serious than before.

"Ms. Abbey, thank you for helping my dad, and I'm sorry for anything disrespectful I might've said before."

Adrian apologized to Abbey, and the uncles' mood lightened a bit, but then Adrian added, "Flora is my friend, and she had good intentions trying to help my dad. Even though things didn't go as planned, we can't put all the blame on her."
