Lone Island.

At the hospital, Flora stared at the bland meal in front of her and earnestly told Connor, "Connor, I really want something spicy."

She was a lover of all things spicy, so these tasteless dishes were pure torture for her. Even though Connor was a fantastic cook and could make even the simplest meals taste great, she was completely over it!

"Come on, this is all you can have right now," Connor said, noticing her pout. He shifted the conversation, "I’ve arranged for Raul and your brother to come over. They should be arriving any minute now."

"They're coming here?" Flora was taken aback. If her dad and brother were on their way, then they already knew about her injury.

She didn’t want them to worry about her.

"Did you think we could keep such a big deal under wraps?" Connor gave her a knowing glance.

Flora sighed, "Yeah, probably not."

"Flora! Flora! We're here!"

Their voices reached the room before they did. By the sound alone, Flora could tell who had arrived.

Calmly, she looked towards the door. A few seconds later, Kruz burst in, with Ethan and Adrian trailing behind.

"Flora! How are you holding up? Is it still hurting?" Kruz rushed to her side, genuinely concerned. While Connor was distracted, he quickly slipped a jar under her blanket.

In a hushed voice, he whispered, "Flora, I brought the stuff you wanted!"

"Thanks a bunch." Flora patted his shoulder, tucking the jar deeper under the covers.

Kruz: "..."

Connor didn’t say a word. He just pocketed the hot sauce and left, but not before giving Kruz a look.

That look made Kruz feel like his soul had left his body!

Oh no… He was in trouble… Big trouble…

He’d ticked off the big guy. Was this the end for him?

"Flora, you’ve got to help me!" he pleaded. He only snuck in the hot sauce because Flora asked!

"Well, whose fault is it for getting caught red-handed?" she teased. Sigh.
