Youth was baffled, completely at a loss.

He figured Adrian and Andy must have lost their marbles. I mean, seriously, people were lining up from the South Pole to the North Pole just to get a chance for Flora's personal coaching, and he was one of them. Now, with Flora offering to teach them directly, they had the nerve to say no.

He couldn't wrap his head around it, not at all, so he decided he had to talk to Flora.

"Flora, wait up!"

The other coaches were just as floored by Adrian and Andy's decision, shooting them a look that said, "You're gonna regret this."

...

At the Jones' place, things were chaotic.

"Argh!!!"

Luke was on a rampage, tearing up the place after getting home. The sheer embarrassment of having to kneel and apologize to Flora and Adrian in front of everyone made his blood boil with a mix of anger and shame. And to top it off, he fainted at the sight of Riley drenched in blood!

Fainted!

And got carried back with a whole crowd watching. He'd never faced such humiliation in his life!

“Alright, enough with the smashing.” Zachary looked at him calmly, “Getting angry is just showing weakness.”

“Dad, Flora’s got some serious connections, even roping in Youth. What are we supposed to do now?” Luke, having let off some steam, was starting to worry.

Zachary just chuckled, “Youth or not, it doesn’t matter. The race is in just a few days, and even the top coach from TM Club can’t do anything for the Reyes family losers.”

“But I heard Flora’s racing too, she…”

“A woman racing? Please.” Zachary scoffed, “If she races, even better. Isn’t Bryce super protective of her? Let him watch his darling niece crash and burn on the track.”

Maybe he’ll get so worked up he’ll have a heart attack or something.

Luke thought his dad was onto something. I mean, how good could a woman be at racing anyway?

“Dad, what about that Liu guy?” Another thought crossed his mind.

After he came to, he found himself back at the Jones house, with no clue where Riley was. All this disgrace was Riley’s fault, and now that Riley was crippled, Luke was determined to pay him back double.

“Great.”

...

At Racing Club 257, in the President's office.

Joe picked up the entry list. His eyes immediately landed on the bold letters at the top: "The Reyes Family." He recognized most of the names on the list. But when he reached the last name, he frowned.

Flora?

Who was she?

Curious, he turned to his computer and pulled up Flora’s profile. An Austenberg native? That was unexpected. He zoomed in on the screen, studying the photo. Though a bit blurry, he could make out the girl's delicate features.

Why did she seem so familiar?

She sort of looked like... that person.
