Jaden felt like his feet were glued to the ground.

He turned to face Connor, whose usually gentle face now carried a shadow of darkness.

"Mr. Hawke, we've already apologized..." Candace whispered, her voice tinged with tears. Surely, Connor couldn't still hold a grudge after that. It would be utterly ungentlemanly.

Connor called out, not even sparing her a glance.

"Mr. Hawke, Ms. Flora," he greeted Connor and Flora with a bow, then turned to Jaden. "Mr. Lin, please take your people and leave the market. From today onwards, neither you nor the lady with you are allowed to step foot inside."
