She said it as a simple statement, but Zayn just felt heartbroken and clutched her hand tighter in his.

When they got to the front door, there was a sudden sound of a fuse being lit. Lindsey subconsciously looked back and saw a sea of sparklers in the lawn that was just pitch black a second ago. At a glance, there seemed to be no end to this display of fireworks. The entire Guggenheim mansion’s surroundings were lit up like it was daytime.

It was hard to imagine how spectacular this scene was without witnessing it. Countless sparklers were like glowing dandelions blooming in the dark. It looked like a dreamland.

Lindsey was stunned in place. At this time, the man beside her hugged her from behind and gently kissed her on the back of her neck. "I remember when we were in the orphanage, you said that you wanted to see a lot of sparklers being lit at the same time. Now that you’ve seen it, do you like it?"

She was speechless as her memory traveled back to a different decade. Those scenes that she thought had been blurred after a long time suddenly became clear as day.
