Debra walked away without looking back. Shelia tugged on Juan’s sleeve and said, “Those were just her angry words. Don’t be upset.” 

Juan quietly pulled his hand away.

Juan said flatly, “There are things for me to do at the company. You stay at home and study. Tell Sophie if you need anything.”
