Rebecca Morris arrived at AY Tech Inc., clutching her proposal with anticipation.

Talbot personally ushered her in.

"Ms. Morris, I've reviewed your proposal," Talbot began. "However, I need to discuss it with our President Yeager first." Rebecca's proposal was bold and innovative, aligning perfectly with their business philosophy.

Yet, the final decision lay with Anthea, and they couldn't rush into a partnership without her approval. It was a significant matter that required careful consideration.

Taking a sip of her coffee, Rebecca tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "Mr. Talbot, I'd like to meet with President Yeager directly to discuss the details myself."

Talbot offered an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry, Ms. Morris, but President Yeager isn't available to meet guests at the moment. Please feel free to discuss any concerns with me, and I'll relay them to her."

"I’m not just a guest; I'm here to bring your President Yeager an opportunity," Rebecca retorted, her tone sharpened with determination. "Mr. Talbot, you’ve seen my proposal. You know the potential benefits it could bring to your company. Don’t let a small matter cost you a valuable partner!"

Her words carried a subtle threat. Rebecca was resolute and unfazed by the possibility of Talbot rejecting her outright.

At the end of the day, Talbot was just a hired executive; he couldn't shoulder the risk of a failed negotiation on his own. He had reviewed the proposal thoroughly and recognized its value. Losing the deal over a minor issue would be a consequence he wasn’t prepared to face.

After contemplating the situation, Talbot continued, "Ms. Morris, I still need to consult with President Yeager. How about this: You head back for now, and if President Yeager agrees to meet you, I’ll inform you right away. Would that be acceptable?"

"That's fine," Rebecca nodded, adding a caveat, "but I’ll only wait for one night."

"Understood."

Rebecca turned to her assistant. "Let's go."

Her assistant quickly fell in step with her.

Once Rebecca left, Talbot wasted no time contacting Anthea.

She was appalled at the thought that a prestigious company like AY Tech would employ someone as low-tier as Anthea for such a task!

Rebecca's eyes narrowed, her gaze filled with disdain. If Anthea hadn’t crossed paths with her today, it might have been fine.

But now that they had encountered each other...

Anthea could forget about collaborating with AY Tech on any project.

Even if Alex Peterson didn't intervene, Rebecca intended to leverage her meeting with President Yeager to tarnish Anthea’s reputation in the influencer world.
