Violet's smile was captivating, and Nanson found himself momentarily speechless. “You look amazing!” he finally managed to say.

“Let's go check out that area over there,” Violet suggested, tugging Nanson along with her.

Around ten o'clock that night, Violet glanced at her watch. “Nanson, it’s getting late. I should head back. My mom might video call soon to check in on me.”

“Check in?” Nanson asked, intrigued.

Violet explained, “Even though my parents aren’t in Cloudcrest, they’re pretty strict. They always video call after 10:30 to make sure I'm home.”

Nanson nodded in understanding. “Then we'd better get you home.”

Nanson drove Violet back to her place, a luxurious apartment complex.

They arrived quickly at her supposed destination.

“I’ll be heading in now,” Violet said, stepping out of the car with a bouquet of roses. “Drive safely.”

“I will,” Nanson replied, watching her walk away. Suddenly, a thought struck him. “Violet, wait a second.”

“Is there something else?” Violet turned back, puzzled.

Nanson pulled out a small jewelry box. “I wanted you to have this.”

Violet smiled, pulling out a necklace from under her collar. “I already have one.”

“But this was meant for you,” Nanson insisted. “If you don’t take it, what am I supposed to do with it?”

Violet pondered for a moment. “You should give it to your sister. It would suit her better.”

Nanson chuckled as he got out of the car. “She’ll be your sister too someday.” He handed the necklace to Violet. “It’s yours. If you don’t want it, just toss it in the trash.”

“Alright then, goodnight.”

Knowing she couldn’t refuse, Violet accepted the necklace with a smile. “Goodnight.”

Nanson drove away.

Once his car disappeared from view, Violet dropped her facade and headed in the opposite direction. She didn’t actually live in the upscale complex but rather in a modest neighborhood nearby.

Violet was currently living with Ileana.

When she returned, Ileana was lounging in the living room watching TV.

Violet shrugged, pulling out her own simple necklace. “I’ll just wear this one. My style is more understated, anyway. Wearing something flashy would ruin the image I’ve built.”

Ileana squinted at the necklace. “The quality doesn’t seem that great.”

Violet laughed. “You have a sharp eye. I bought this one from a street vendor. It’s uncomfortable, but Nanson seems to like it.”

Ileana quickly caught on to the underlying meaning and accepted the jewelry box from Violet. “In that case, I’ll gladly take it.”

Every woman loves a good brand.

Ileana had admired this brand's necklaces for a long time.

Violet casually set the roses aside. “No need to thank me. What’s mine is yours.”

Compared to Nanson’s immense wealth, a necklace worth a few thousand dollars was nothing.

Violet truly didn’t mind.

With the necklace in hand, Ileana’s mood lifted a bit. “Did Nanson mention when he’ll introduce you to his parents?”
