"No," Violet replied confidently. "I've been very careful in every way. At first, her sister might not have liked me much, but later on, I even cooked with her. I think she's quite pleased with me now."

Violet had a way with words, and while cooking, she made sure to win over Carole, often saying she'd cook for her every day.

She wasn't the least bit pretentious.

Surely, no sister could dislike such a diligent sister-in-law!

So, Violet was very self-assured.

Ileana let out a sigh of relief. "As long as you didn't offend her."

"I'm going to head down now."

Ileana frowned slightly. "Are you going like this?"

Violet understood Ileana's concern. "It's fine. I just let Nanson know I was outside."

Violet made her way to the entrance of the neighborhood.

She saw Nanson leaning against the car door, waiting for her.

Truth be told, Nanson was quite handsome, with a rugged charm, especially when he wore a suit.

Not only was he handsome, but he was also wealthy. Thinking about how this man would soon be entirely hers made Violet incredibly excited. She quickly jogged over to him. "Nanson."

But as she reached his side, Violet noticed something had changed about him.

Normally, the moment he saw her, his face would light up with a smile, his eyes filled with warmth.

But today was different.

Not only was he not smiling, but his entire demeanor was serious.

Nanson looked at Violet. "I was going to call you, but then I thought it’s better to talk about this in person."

What could be so important that it needed to be discussed face to face?

Could it be a proposal?

Given Nanson's personality, it wasn't out of the realm of possibility.

Thinking of this, Violet felt a thrill of excitement.

A wide grin spread across her face as she looked down, unable to hide her delight. "What could be so important that it needs a face-to-face? Well, I'm here now. Go ahead."

"Let’s break up." Nanson said.

"What?" Violet stared at Nanson, disbelief and confusion clouding her eyes, almost convinced she had misheard him.

Nanson repeated himself.

"Is it because your sister and niece don't like me?" Violet asked.

Nanson just looked at her steadily. "Stop pretending, Jenny. I know everything."

As soon as the name Jenny slipped from Nanson's lips, Violet's knees nearly buckled, her mind going blank.

How did he find out?

But now, even these were being thrown out.

Before she could react, the engine roared to life, and in the next moment, the black Mercedes drove away.

"Nanson!"

Violet ran after the car.

But all that was left for her was a cloud of dust.

Violet was unwilling to give up. She called Nanson, but all she got was a busy signal.

Then she tried messaging him, but her messages couldn’t get through.

He had blocked her!

When Violet returned to her apartment, Ileana saw her distressed state and felt a pang of worry. "What happened to you?"

Violet shouted, "Nanson broke up with me! He found out! He knows everything!"

"How could this happen?" Ileana asked incredulously.

Violet pointed angrily at Ileana. "Was it you? Did you spill the secret?"

"Am I crazy? Why would I betray you?"

"It was you! You're just a jealous witch! You couldn't stand seeing me happy with Nanson!" Violet had lost all sense of reason and slapped Ileana hard.
