As the evening approached, Debra changed her clothes and descended the stairs.
Liza and Cathryn were still not back, while Drake had been waiting in the living room for some time.
He glanced at his watch and complained, "Why did you take so long?"
Debra remained unperturbed. "Girls take time to get ready. If you're in a hurry, you can go ahead. I'll catch up later."
Drake looked at her white mermaid gown and snorted, "Then you can run away? Do you think I'm stupid?"
"Oh, you caught me," Debra feigned surprise.
Drake grabbed her arm abruptly, causing her to stumble. "Don't try any tricks. I won't give you any chance to escape."
He took out a pair of handcuffs and cuffed her.
Debra laughed in disbelief, "Are you serious?"
"What do you think?" Drake snorted.
"So, when I suggested handcuffs last time, you weren't reluctant. You just didn't have any?" Debra asked, amused.
"I had Kale prepare them. Without keys, you'll need a firefighter to get them off," Drake said, brushing imaginary dust off his clothes. "Let's go."
"Yes, boss," Kale replied.
Debra followed behind them and laughed again at Drake's childishness.
Outside the villa, Marion sat in his car, watching as Drake's car drove away. Through the earpiece, he heard his subordinate's voice.
"Boss, Mrs. Houston is in the car with Drake."
Lara froze and stammered, "N-Nothing."
"You're lying. What are you doing with all this jewelry?" Liza demanded.
Lara bit her lip, hesitating.
Liza pressed, "You see, I'm the future Mrs. Lowe. If you don't come clean, I'll have Drake kick you out. Now tell me, whose jewelry is this? Where are you taking it?"
Lara faltered, "I..."
"Not talking? Fine, I'll have you thrown out right now," Liza threatened.
Lara confirmed Liza's anger and pleaded, "Miss Eaton, please don't. I'll talk."
She placed the items in front of Liza. "Mr. Lowe prepared these for Mrs. Houston. He took her to the banquet, but she left in a hurry and forgot to take them with her. I was rushing to bring them to her."
