Garland looked at the files, his initial spark of interest instantly extinguished.

Just then, Liza's voice echoed from outside the door. "Why are you still here? My dad doesn't like you. Why are you still hanging around?"

Juan frowned, and Garland perked up his ears. "Sounds like a fight. Should I go break it up?"

But Juan knew better. Garland was more likely to stir the pot than calm things down.

"Miss Eaton, please take it easy."

Juan cracked open the door to see Liza tossing Melody's luggage out, scattering expensive jewelry and dresses across the floor.

The maids tried to calm her down, but Liza was beyond control.

Melody's face darkened as the scene unfolded. The noise drew Bert out of his room.

He scolded, "Liza, mind your manners."

"Dad! Why are you letting her stay in our house? I don't like her. I don't want her here." Liza threw a tantrum.

Seeing her belongings strewn across the floor, Melody said bitterly, "I guess I've overstayed my welcome. I'll pack my things and leave."

"I don't want a new estate," Liza pouted. "I want you to help me find Cathryn."

Bert was baffled. "Cathryn? What happened to her?"

Liza replied, "She hasn't been answering my calls all morning. I suspect Debra took her. She is my best friend, and if Debra dares lay a finger on Cathryn, I'll make her pay."

Bert said thoughtfully, "I've met Debra. I don't think she'd do something like that. But don't worry. I'll send someone to look for Cathryn. Just stay put and wait for news."

"Okay, Dad. I'll be waiting," Liza said, stomping off.
