Chapter 7: FISHING BAIT

IT WASN'T like Yuno lied.

Esper Ki Gayoon and I really got down and dirty because that old bastard buried me in the ground.

And, to be honest, the phrase wasn't sexual in nature.

Yuno just made it sound suggestive on purpose to annoy the hell out of Guide Bambi.

And it's working.

Guide Bambi's fake smile disappeared, and his expression turned icy cold. "You don't know how to keep your mouth shut, do you?"

That was true.

Yuno got beaten up by the agents before they arrested them.

Those bastards didn't even bring him to the infirmary and just threw him straight to the interrogation room. His face still hurt because the agent he slapped with a dildo didn't stop until he broke his nose.

Oh, well.

He had high pain tolerance anyway.

It's been a while since I've been here, but it's a shame I didn't even get the chance to admire the beautiful architecture of the National Guide Bureau HQ.

He was stuck in the interrogation room, after all.

"Why are you arrogant, Noh Yuno-ssi?" Guide Bambi asked. "Is it because you're working for Guide Moon Noa-ssi? Do you think he will get you out of here?"

"No," Yuno said bluntly, obviously leaving Guide Bambi confused. "I don't expect anyone to save me. In fact, I think I fucked around too much this time."

He could have just ignored the "walking sex toy" comment.

But he just had to let his temper get the better of him.

"If you know that, why can't you keep your mouth shut?" Guide Bambi asked coldly. "You should know that you may not make it out alive here."

"I know, right?" Yuno agreed while nodding. "I'm actually scared as hell. But I can't stop my mouth from talking back. It also doesn't help that I have a bad temper."

"You're funny."

"Then will you spare me—"

"It's too late to get on my good graces, Yuno-ssi."

"At least, I tried."

"So, you're an E-Class Guide."

Ah.

"You did your assignment, Guide Bambi," Yuno said, nodding. "That means you already know that I'm a registered Guide, and that I have proper documents that explain why I'm not active as a Guide."

In short, this pretty but perverted S-Class Guide was just power-tripping.

"You're right— I did my assignment," Guide Bambi said, smiling. "That's why I also know E-Class Guides are easy to die, easy to kill."

"What about it?"

"Someone like you doesn't deserve to be Ki Gayoon Hyung's Guide. So, give it to me."

"Give you what?"

"Your ability to guide Ki Gayoon Hyung," Guide Bambi said, extending his hand as if he was trying to literally rip Yuno's heart out of his chest. "Give it to me."

Strange.

Yuno suddenly couldn't move even though he wanted to get away from Bambi.

This is freaking scary.

"Bambam, are you here?"

Much to Yuno's surprise, the door suddenly burst open.

Then Moon Noa— dressed in a mustard piece, of course— entered the room with a bright smile on his face.

"I knew I'd find you here, Bambam~"

Yuno turned his head and his gaze followed Moon Noa who patted Yuno's shoulder as if to console him. Then the CEO pulled a chair for himself and sat next to Guide Bambi.

Oh?

I can move again.

"Yuyu, you may go," Moon Noa said, smiling at Yuno. "I'll deal with Bambam."

"No one leaves here without my permission," Guide Bambi asked, frowning. "How did you get in here, Guide Moon Noa-ssi? Esper Ryu Sungbin should be—"

"Esper Ryu Sungbin was dispatched," Moon Noa said cheerfully. "He was dispatched because a Gate suddenly appeared near the Blue House."

Yuno was surprised to hear that, but Guide Bambi didn't look convinced.

"Oh, I have another piece of bad news for you," Moon Noa— who looked too happy to deliver some bad news— said while observing Guide Bambi. "Esper Ki Gayoon is on a Rampage."

What?

Yuno knitted his eyebrows.

That old man is on a Rampage again?

"Unfortunately, this time, Esper Ki Gayoon snapped while visiting the newly built Esper Training Center," Moon Noa said, still all smiles. "President Cheol Kang was so livid after hearing the news since the government spent a lot of money on building the Center. I wonder how the president would react to the news?"

"What did you do?" Guide Bambi asked coldly. "How did you convince Gayoon Hyung to do your bidding?"

For real?

Yuno wondered if Moon Noa and Ki Gayoon were really conniving.

They're kinda scary as a duo...
