[A few days ago...]
IT WAS a Special Grade Gate.
Worse, the damned gate appeared near the newly built luxurious apartment complex that Ki Gayoon’s company owned.
It’s the apartment complex where Bambi assaulted me.
It wasn’t open to the public yet. He delayed the opening of the apartment complex because of what Bambi did. That perverted Guide tampered with the security system, after all. He didn’t want something like that to happen again, so he asked his IT Team to make a better system.
Hence, the delay.
But I can’t delay the opening longer, so I have to get rid of the Gate ASAP.
Gayoon clicked his tongue when he saw the requirement to enter the dungeon.
Yes, Special Grade Gates don’t allow just anyone to enter.
Normal Gates— from A to F Grades— could be raided by Espers depending on their ranks.
Naturally awakened S-Class Espers could enter all dungeons— including Special Grade Ones.
Heck, only naturally awakened S-Class Espers could raid Special Grade dungeons.
S-Class Espers could enter S-Grade dungeons and below. But the government wouldn’t allow S-Class Espers to enter dungeons lower than B-Class to give them time to rest.
Which was reasonable because there were only a few S-Class Espers (natural or not) in the country.
Anyways...
A-Class Espers could enter A-Grade dungeons and below. A-Class Espers were also allowed to enter S-Grade dungeons if they had at least one S-Class Esper with them.
B-Class Espers could enter B-Grade dungeons and below.
C-Class Espers could enter C-Grade dungeons and below. But if a group of B-Class Espers needed a big team of Espers to raid a B-Grade dungeon, then C-Class Espers were allowed to join them.
D-Class Espers could enter D-Grade and F-Grade dungeons.
F-Class Espers couldn’t enter F-Grade dungeons by themselves. They needed at least one companion above their rank. After all, F-Class Espers weren’t really different from Civilians— unless they had a special ability.
Most F-Grade dungeons are used to train F-Class Espers to help them level up.
And, yes, there were no E-Class Espers for some reason.
Just like how I didn’t know E-Class Guides existed until I met Noh Yuno.
"Boss, I’m back."
Gayoon bit the cinnamon stick in his mouth. "So, where are the Espers with ice manipulation skills?"
Yes, the Special Grade Gate required at least a B-Class Esper with ice powers.
The requirement was written on what seemed like a Status Window attached to the door of the dungeon.
Yes, Gates are called Gates because they look like one.
"According to our records, you kicked out our company’s only ice user two months ago," Baekho reported. "Apparently, you caught him harassing a mid-rank Guide in the bar that you own, Boss. I wasn’t with you at the time, and it was Gu Inwoo who took care of the matter. So, I only found out about it now."
Honestly, Gayoon couldn’t remember that incident.
But if I kicked that bastard out of the group myself, then he probably deserved it.
"Should we hire an ice user from the Rogue Clan, Boss?"
The ’Rogue Clan’ was an infamous group of "freelance" Espers who were infamous for raiding illegal dungeons.
’Illegal dungeons’ were dungeons that weren’t reported to the government.
The government is turning a blind eye to the Rogue Clan’s illegal activities because they can’t afford to antagonize a group of high-ranking Espers.
On the other hand, the Esper Association...
Well, Kwak Hakjae had already lost his influence.
As far as I know, that is.
Anyway, the Espers that belonged to the Rogue Clan were also infamous for being "Espers-for-rent."
I commission them from time to time because I don’t want to work with the Top 5.
But now...
"No, we don’t need the Rogue Clan this time," Gayoon said, already calling someone on the phone. "Go and make sure all Civilians in the area are already evacuated to the nearest shelter."
Baekho bowed politely. "Yes, Boss!"
And then his right-hand man left to join the others.
Gayoon, on the other hand, leaned against his car when the person he called finally picked up.
<"Oh! I’m at the HoneyMoon Convenience Store, Oppa.">
<"Not at all, Oppa! I’m just here to see Prince Haru-nim in person.">
<"Because Prince Haru-nim is handsome! Oppa, I’m sorry to say this, but I think Prince Haru-nim looks better than you. Just a bit, though!">
<"They gave me a short vacation since Hanjin Oppa is still recovering. Why, Oppa? Do you need my help?">
<"See you there, Oppa!">

If Lee Sarang wasn’t in her normal state, she wouldn’t have gone to the HoneyMoon Convenience Store to admire another man. After all, there wasn’t an Awakened Person in Korea who didn’t know that Lee Sarang was a "slave" for Mo Hanjin.
It’s really interesting how the dungeon can copy real-life places in our world.
