The sales manager looked at Houston with a mix of fear and apprehension. She had initially dismissed him as just another spoiled rich guy, but seeing him physically confront the Clarke couple made her realize that his power and status were on par with, if not greater than, theirs. Trembling, she handed the "Blooming Iris" necklace to Houston with both hands.

Houston gave her a cold, piercing look. "Next time, be more discerning about the people you deal with. Women like Charlotte are nothing but parasites in wealthy circles. They'll eventually be cast out."

The sales manager nodded hastily, her face pale. "Yes, sir. We understand completely. We will sincerely serve when sir comes the next time."

That evening, Houston was urgently summoned home by his grandfather.

"Hello?" she answered.

"Is this Dr. Marshall?" the voice on the other end asked, sounding panicked.

"Yes, it is."

"I'm the owner of the Noble Bar. One of our customers has severe gastric bleeding from drinking too much. He asked us to contact you and said you'd be responsible for him. Dr. Marshall, please come quickly."
