No matter the sugarcoating, the truth was that my father and his elders sent me off to what can best be described as a military school filled with rich kids who liked to remind me I was nothing, nobody. ‘I miss Carrot,‘ my wolf muttered, breaking the conversation with my father. ‘Can’t we check up on her?‘ 

‘We saw her less than three hours ago,‘ I shut the mutt up. ‘We will see her next week.
