Finnley and Rowan’s parents were discussing their wedding. They were efficient as they had done everything within a few days.
“The wedding will be on next Saturday,” Finnley said while placing the wedding suits next to Greyson.
“What? Next Saturday?" Greyson asked surprisingly.
"Of course I need to pay more attention, as Rowan mentioned it." Finnley said, "You always wanted this to happen, right?"
Greyson stretched the corner of his mouth and smiled, "Yes."
"Then everything should be fine." Finnley smiled, "Be prepared."
After Finnley finished speaking, he gently tapped Greyson's shoulder and left.
Greyson was in the room alone. He looked at the spotless white dress. Suddenly, there was an indescribable feeling that emerged in his heart.
He could not help but imagined Rowan's life after the wedding.
But when he realized that he was the one standing aside with her, he could not seem to take it.
Greyson covered his face with suffering.
He had no idea what to do.
Should he tell Rowan that he did not love her anymore, even after all these years?
That's impossible.
They finally ended up with each other after going through ups and downs. How would it be possible for him to break up?
Guess he would need to grin and bear it...
Someday, he might fall in love with Rowan once again.
Greyson clenched his fist.
...
It was the wedding day.
Their wedding was a groundbreaking event. There was a lot of media making news reports, live streaming, or even broadcasting the majestic wedding.
Rowan was sitting in front of a dressing table. She blushed a little as she looked different from the mirror.
Greyson and she had gone so far throughout the journey.
Starting on the next day, she would be his wife.
At first, Greyson did not bother to care about her, but now, he was attracted to her and called her Rowan gently.
Rowan wanted to wear her earrings. She grabbed them from the table but accidentally swept down a glass of water.
“I feel sorry for Mr. King. Even though he is good looking, he was stuck with such a burden… Is that his wife? She seems like she was going to pass away anytime, right?”
“I think Mr. King is a kind-hearted person as he never abandons his wife. I do not think you can find any man with this decent quality.”
“He loves his wife, his wife loves him too, maybe she does not want to tie him down. Even though she is cooperative in all the treatments, there is still a barrier in her heart. She might not last any longer...sigh, what a tragic couple...”
Jensen opened the door and entered the ward. The patient lying on the bed was frail. Even her movements were so minor that you could only tell that she was moving after observing closely.
“Hattie...” Jensen walked closer to her. He was distressed when he saw her pale cheeks.
“Jensen...you don't have to come every day...this will affect your business...” Hattie forcibly pulled a smile.
“There is nothing worth more than you.” Jensen sat down and asked, “How was your day?”
“Nothing has changed.” Hattie said, “Don't you worry about me.”
“Hattie...” Jensen looked into her eyes, then remarked, “Today is Greyson’s wedding.”
Hattie flinched for a second, then sneered, “It is a good thing. They are the perfect match in every way. It is like they were meant to be together...”
“If you don’t want to smile, you don’t have to...” Jensen sighed and gently touched Hattie’s hair, “It is not a big deal if you want to cry. Other than me, no one will know.”
In a second, he saw Hattie's eyes turned red, she then burst into tears.
Jensen immediately wiped off the tears on her cheek. It broke his heart.
