Chapter Thirty Three

Ahmed and all the gents leave the hall as they go to the backyard, where a stage is set up for the two couples to sit.

Hammad stays back since he has to walk Sahaan to the stage.

"Enough now! How long will you cry for? Stop crying now.” Hammad says in a childish voice, trying to make Sahaan laugh.

All the elders laugh at his antics. He bends down on his knees in front of Sahaan, who’s sitting on the sofa. He pulls her veil up, wipes her tears, and holds her by the chin.

"Hey! My life, don’t cry! I’m your brother and father at the same time. I won’t let anyone hurt you, I promise, now stop crying,” He softly promises and kisses her forehead.

Everyone looks at them, adoring their pure relationship, except one man who is seething in anger seeing them from the glass window.

Hearing his words, Sahaan gets more emotional and tears start falling like the Niagara falls. Seeing her cry even more, Hammad groans loudly and sits on the floor, holding his head in his hands.

Again, everyone laughs at him.

"For God’s sake, stop crying, cry baby! Your makeup is ruined! You look like a witch right now." He nonchalantly says to her.

She angrily looks up, forgetting her tears as she glares at him.
