Chapter Forty
Ayesha's eyes burn with tears, seeing her son so heartbroken. This is the first time he cried in front of her.
"I just wanted to secure your future. Is it so wrong for a mother to think for her children?" She tells Ahmed, who moves back hearing her words.
"Come out of your dreams, mom! Snatching away the happiness of others children will not give happiness to your children! You broke my pride in you! I trusted you, mom. Yet you were the one who took away my love from me.
From now onwards, you don’t have the right to make any decision for me! And stay away from Sahaan!" He turns to leave, but stops hearing his mothers words.
"You can't snatch that right from me. I have a say in my son’s life!" She angrily tells him, he scoffs hearing her.
"You only have the right to suggest. But you have no right to make any decisions for me as I'm mature enough to make my own decisions. Even God doesn't give parents the right to force their own decisions on their children. I am living my life, not you. You were wrong when you thought that I'll allow you to make decisions in my life," He bitterly leaves.
Ayesha just keeps looking at her son's retreating back, thinking maybe what she did was actually wrong.
Ahmed knocks on the door and enters the room.
