"Grandma, You're being harsh to me." Saying this he falls in her feet resting his head on her lap.

She smiles hearing his words, like a child was complaining to his mother. She caresses his hair.

"I'm trying to do justice with everyone, Ahmed. Try to see it from my eyes, we can't forcefully stop her this will make her go more far from us, you're having one week of time try to win her heart if she wants to leave, she'll and the final decision will be hers." She firmly tells him who nods his head.

"I'll try my best Grandma If she doesn't agree then please you convince her." He tells her, his voice cracking at the end.

"Son! Us women doesn't forget easily if her man cheats on her or insults her love, in her case you did both, you did cheat on her with Tanzeen you knew that she was betrothed to you from childhood but yet you were ready to marry that girl. Now don't blame your mother I know what she did was wrong but you both are equally wrong in this." She softly tells him running her fingers in his hair.

"Don't worry Grandma I won't let your granddaughter in law to leave." He mutters, determination shining in his eyes

He gets up after kissing Grandma's forehead and moves towards the door to leave but stop hearing her final words.

"And remember Ahmed, if she doesn't want to live with you then you will not force her." Grandma tells him clearly, promise hidden in her tone.
