Chapter Sixty Five
"So, we have decided to do a small engagement ceremony now and will do the vows and reception together after one year." Amirah's father, their uncle tells them who excitedly nods their head at him except Hammad who was sulking hearing one year.
"Awww! My brother what’s wrong? Is one year less? Should we make it two? If not three?" Isra teasingly asks her brother who glares at her.
Everyone laughs at their bickering and Hammad's sulking face.
"Uncle, it is better if we do it in 6 to 8 months. We shouldn't delay such happiness, it is better to do early." Sahaan tells her uncle understanding Hammad's plight.
"She is right! We shouldn't delay the auspicious day, we will think about it and will fix the date." Yaqub tells them and all the elders retire to their rooms.
"See! This is how sisters are, not like you! Witch." hammad tells Isra slapping her head who frown at him.
They both start their fight scratching and punching each other and stopped upon the intervene of Sahaan.
Huffing loudly Isra stomps to her room, all of them laugh at her dramatic acts and leave to their respective rooms.

Sahaan was seated near the window, deep in thoughts. She didn't want to go, but was leaving with them just for her mother who made her what she is now single handedly, Her mother was young when her father passed away, she could've remarried but just for Sahaan she didn't and the least she could do was give her mother a little peace from all the family drama here.
She was so occupied with her thoughts that she didn't notice when someone came inside her room and sat in front of her.
She came out of her trance when Ahmed held her hands in his. They both sat silently enjoying each other’s presence, Ahmed was busy admiring their hands, how perfectly they fit.
Her hands were so fragile and soft compared to his calloused ones.
"love! Is it necessary for you to leave? If you want, we can shift somewhere else." Ahmed whispers to her who keeps looking at him.
