Caleb had been walking when he almost tripped and fell at the mention of Cecily's name. He glared at Triston and snapped, "I'm not here for her!"

He'd even had no idea they'd brought Cecily back!

Triston nodded. "Ah, so you're here for Ziva. Got it."

Caleb was utterly speechless. What did Triston mean by "Got it"? Why was it that whoever saw him either thought of Cecily or Ziva? Did even the staff at the National Security Agency know about the disasters these two had brought into his life?

Caleb felt utterly humiliated as if he was being judged in public, but Shannon and Triston ignored his inner turmoil and began discussing Ziva's situation.

"You texted me this morning saying Ziva's abilities have disappeared. What's going on?"

Triston explained that after they'd brought Ziva back, the impact of the power of words Zane had on her was no longer in effect. But since Ziva had the same ability, they kept a silencing talisman on her as a precaution.

It wasn't until this morning during Mitchell's interrogation that they discovered Ziva's power of words was gone.

"When we first lifted the silencing talisman to get her to confess, she tried using the power of words in her speech, but it had no effect. Then, she suddenly broke down and claimed her powers had been taken from her. She insisted on seeing you."

In Ziva's words, she accused Shannon of using some dark arts technique to steal her power of words and give it to Zane. Otherwise, how could it be that Zane displayed his power of words only for hers to vanish immediately afterward?
