Scott and the others stood at the door. Caught off guard by the sudden appearance of a big flying squirrel, they barely had time to react when they saw it scanning the four of them before choosing Caleb as its target.

The creature suddenly pounced on Caleb, its limbs pressing against his chest, while its long tail instinctively coiled around his neck. All he could feel was a huge stomp on his chest.

A furry tail, reeking with a strange, pungent odor, wrapped tightly around his neck, constricting both his face and throat.

He gagged, suffocation overcoming him with the pungent smell. The next second, however, it released its tail and bolted toward the main door.

Shannon was ready to run after it, but Scott exclaimed, "Cal!"

She turned around, only to see Caleb lying limply on the floor, his face covered by supernatural energy. Helpless, she gave up on tracking down the creature and scurried to his side, slapping a talisman onto the back of his head.

Forming a mudra, she chanted, "Clear energy flows, dispersing the foul. As purity sweeps, the impure fades…"

Within seconds, the supernatural energy on Caleb's face and neck visibly vanished.

Choked and struggling for breath, he suddenly had air rush into his lungs. He gasped sharply, then broke into a violent fit of coughing. Between the coughs, he kept spitting something out.

Then, they saw a few wet strands of red and white fur. It was obvious that he accidentally ingested some of its furs when the creature choked him with its tail.

Marshmallow wrinkled its nose, intending to approach and sniff it, but Shannon pulled it aside. She retrieved the used talisman from the back of Caleb's head and used it to wrap the fur he had spat out.

"What kind of weird hobby is that?" he mused.
