The woman held a cup of water and beckoned the child to drink. Suddenly, she detected something off.

She reflexively turned and saw the oncoming figures, Shannon and Benjamin. Sensing their off-putting energies, the woman shifted her demeanor suddenly and carried her child into the house.

Shannon rushed up to them and shot a talisman in their way right before the door closed. Immediately, a woman's cry sounded, followed by the child's exclamation. "Mommy! Mommy, what happened to you?"

Pushing the door open, Shannon glimpsed the stone gargoyles at the side and was caught slightly off guard. Quickly enough, she entered the house with Benjamin.

Inside, the pale woman lay on the floor, struggling to rise. The child stayed close by her side, fearful of the sudden appearance of Shannon and Benjamin.

At that moment, a man heard the commotion and came over. His face dropped when he saw his "wife" on the floor and the two strangers before the child.

The scared child continued holding onto the man's shirt, so she added, "We came here because we saw the post you made online."

The child widened his eyes slightly, while his "parents" seemingly got the gist and appeared helpless.

"You knew, Trevor?" the man asked the child.

Trevor Laird gazed at the man, who had possessed his father to make him happy, feeling somewhat timid. He lowered his head and softly said, "Mommy and Daddy aren't like you guys."
