At last, Lexie followed with Heston and Cassidy in tow.

She turned to reassure Heston and Cassidy. "Fret not, I'm here!" She was his contractor, after all.

Heston didn't understand, but he nodded and followed along.

When the group finally descended the steps of the aircraft, they were met by two individuals stepping out of the crowd. One of them was Valentino.

Before Lexie could process the situation, a middle-aged officer in military uniform standing next to Valentino raised his hand in a sharp salute in their direction.

With a swoosh, the Special Security Agents behind the man along with Shannon's group simultaneously raised their hands and formed the formal mystic arts salute.

Heston halted in his tracks. He scanned the solemn salutes, and his gaze ultimately landed on the officer in uniform.

His posture instinctively straightened, and he raised his hand in the same gesture.

The officer's pupils trembled slightly. He'd learned from the Special Security Agency that the man before him had turned into the Unmelting Bone, or what they called a zombie.

When the Unmelting Bone's remains had been stolen by evil masters, they had the Special Security Agency intervene. And though the remains had been recovered, the martyr could no longer rest in the martyrs' cemetery.

He couldn't even bring the remains back to the cemetery with honor. All he could do was represent the military to both welcome and bid farewell to the Unmelting Bone.

As he wasn't a mystic master himself, he didn't understand what the Unmelting Bone or a zombie represented. All he knew was that the man before him had shed blood for their country in life.

His salute was for a heroic soul, and he never would've expected the Unmelting Bone to respond.

He soon understood and stepped forward to extend his hand solemnly. "Heston, welcome home."

The officer had learned the new name given to the Unmelting Bone. It sounded like a good name.
