Adam's expression instantly darkened. With a cold voice, he called out to Hector.

Before Adam could continue reprimanding, Hector simply tilted his head and replied calmly, "Shannon was brought to the police station. I'm bringing her home."

Hector's explanation instantly caused Adam's next words to be lodged in his throat.

Adam immediately got up from his seat and announced in a cold voice, "The meeting today is postponed."

Then, he walked toward Hector. "I'm going with you."

Everyone else in the meeting room was speechless.
