Shannon felt as if she had been pulled into a fantasy. Just seconds ago, she was still pondering over the secret of the Emeralda Stone pattern. Now, she was standing in a place that resembled… a wedding ceremony.

She watched as Benjamin walked toward her and extended his hand to her. She didn't know how to react for a moment.

Then came Emeralda's soft voice. "We're not in a position to replace your families in hosting your wedding. Everything today is just a blessing we offer you."

Her voice was naturally cold, yet at that moment, it was laced with human warmth. After saying those words, she nudged Shannon forward. "Go ahead."

Shannon instinctively stepped forward, naturally taking Benjamin's hand as it was offered. She still couldn't make out his face, but she could see the smile reflected in his usually calm and deep eyes.

It was as if her own emotions were subtly tugged at, and without realizing it, a gentle curve formed at the corners of her eyes and lips.

With his hand in hers, they walked together through the flower-lined path, surrounded by the warm, joyful crowd.
