The supernatural lightning, which had just struck down the man and was about to dissipate, split off a small streak. It slithered along the ground and headed straight for Maya.

The streak of lightning struck her before she could react. Her entire body convulsed from the shock, and she collapsed face-down onto the ground.

Shannon locked eyes with Maya's furious glare and calmly muttered, "This supernatural lightning seems a little hard to control. I need more practice."

Maya seethed. She could've sworn that Shannon did that on purpose! Yet no matter how much she wanted to protest, she couldn't get the words out.

Though this wasn't her first time witnessing such a thing, Thalia couldn't help cursing, "Monster!"

After a pause, she angrily added, "All of you Ghost Mist freaks are monsters! Why can't you just stay human? You insist on turning yourselves into these wretched things!"

Scarlett showed no embarrassment even with her true form exposed. Instead, she coldly scoffed. "Mind your own business."

"I don't care about you either! I'm just waiting for the day you drop dead so I can collect your corpse!" Thalia snapped back and quickly formed a talisman midair.

"Polar of six constellations, heaven and earth in unity; five stars to command, light illuminates the netherworld. Wherever it stands, all gods must heed. Swiftly, as the law decrees!"

The talisman ignited and summoned a wave of purifying energy that surged toward Scarlett and pressed down with immense force.
