Then, almost out of defiance, she turned away to take Shanny Gold and Benji Gold with her without sparing him another glance.

Frowning, Benjamin's gaze fixed on her retreating figure, and a strange pull stirred deep in his chest. It tugged at him as if trying to hold her back.

He stood there watching her until she stepped through the barrier and disappeared from sight.
