After Sheila and Francis got the call about the crash, they rushed to the hospital. Rachel and Bradley had just been sent out of the operating room.

Both of Rachel's legs suffered from different degrees of fractures, and she had a minor concussion.

Bradley was in a better state than her. Only one of his arms was broken. It was the one that Rachel was clutching onto earlier.

In that head-on collision, the driver should have borne most of the impact. But miraculously, he only sustained minor injuries. After his wounds were treated with topical medication and patched up, he didn't even need to be hospitalized for observation.

Sheila couldn't be bothered by the driver's condition. Looking at Rachel, who was on the hospital bed with a pale face, she was so heartbroken that she teared up.

Sheila, who was already weak, swayed suddenly. Thankfully, the nurse at the side quickly steadied her.

"Rachel, my poor Rachel. You should've just stayed at home. Why did you have to go out? If anything happens to you, how will I live on…"

Sheila wailed.

Beside her, Francis was already having a headache. Right then, he held his head and snapped in a low voice, "That's enough! She's okay now, isn't she?"

Sheila wasn't having it. She retorted with a sharp voice, "Her legs are fractured, and you said she's okay? I wonder if the driver hired by the Johnsons did this on purpose! If not, why would Rachel suffer from the worst injuries out of all three of them in the car?"

Sitting on the couch at the side, Francis couldn't help but howl, "Shut up! My head is hurting from how noisy you are!"

Ever since he blew his top that night, it was as if a switch in Francis had flipped. He was no longer as gentle and warm toward Sheila as he was in the past.

Sheila felt bad for herself. She could only shut up and sit beside him.

After a moment, she couldn't help speaking up again.

"Francis, I think something is really off about our family. First, the two of us got sick. Connor then got into an accident. Even Rachel is injured now.

"How could there be such a coincidence?"

With a dark face, Francis didn't say a word. But he was clearly listening.

Sheila then continued, sounding as if she was trying to explain something, "Especially that night, I felt like I was possessed. Those words came out of my mouth uncontrollably. But those weren't things I meant at all. It felt as if someone was controlling me to say those things."
