Ever since Shannon had asked Caleb if he'd ever gotten injured, the latter couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong with him.

At first, it happened when he looked in the mirror in the morning. Though he was staring at his reflection in the mirror, there was a strange sense of unfamiliarity.

Then, he ran into Thomas, who'd usually greet him with a polite smile and greeting. But Thomas froze and looked puzzled instead. It wasn't until Caleb spoke that Thomas seemed to snap out of it and returned to his usual demeanor.

As time went on, Caleb increasingly felt that something about him was off.

First was his taste in clothing. Caleb would usually prioritize fashion and paid close attention to his outfits even at home. But that day, he came downstairs wearing a tank top and a floral shirt.

When Scott, who was eating in the dining room, saw him, his expression was as though he'd seen a ghost. "From where did you dig out that ugly ass floral shirt? Even Dad wouldn't wear something like that on vacation."

Caleb frowned at the remark and glanced at himself in the reflection of the glass door in the dining room. Though he thought Caleb had a point, he also felt that there was nothing wrong with his outfit for some reason.

What was wrong with that? It looked good though. Kids these days just didn't have taste.

Caleb ignored Scott, but the latter pressed further. "Caleb, did you put on makeup today? You look different."

Caleb shot him a sideways glance. "You've probably been gaming too much, and it's affecting your eyesight. I'll have Thomas juice some carrots for you every day."

Scott pulled a face at the mention of carrot juice. Then, he mumbled under his breath, "You look different and blame my eyesight…"

If Caleb had been unaware that something was amiss, that changed later that day. When driving past a corner, he was suddenly drawn to a pizza shop.
