Lily was initially concemed about Rowan’s condition. But she knew he was fine after seeing him still clinging to Xavier and crying his heart out.

She stormed out of the hospital, hailed a cab, and headed straight for Bayview Gardens. 

On the way, she quickly blocked Xavier on WhatsApp and her phone. Next time she went our, she’d make sure to carry pepper spray. She couldn’t handle his relentless advances anymore.

“Sure, she’s got a temper, but as I’m her mother, she listens to me. Next time something happens with her, just leave it to me. There’s no need for you to get upset. 

She was fishing for praise, but Bobby didn’t glance at her. His expression was impatient as he muttered, “Let’s go.” 

Hazel forced a strained smile and fell silent. As they approached, they noticed Lily standing near the entrance. 

Bobby’s expression darkened immediately. His brows knitted so tightly it seemed like they could crush a fly. “What are you doing back here?” “She must’ve come to grab her things,” Hazel chimed in, bypassing Bobby and approaching Lily. “Wasn’t Xavier supposed to come back with you?” 

Lily raised a brow, wondering if Bobby had actually kicked Hazel out or if the whole thing had been a charade. Either way, it didn’t matter now. 

“This is my home. Where else would I go?” She replied coolly, stepping past them. “Are you leaving? Go ahead. I won’t see you off.” 

Hazel’s face dropped, and she grabbed Lily’s arm. “What’s going on? Didn’t you go back to Xavier’s place? 

Bobby glared at her, his anger almost palpable. His gaze could we burned a hole through her. 

Lily sniffed, ignoring the freezing temperature. It wasn’t the cold that made her heart ache–it was their words and expressions. 

“I told you, it was a misunderstanding. I went back for a bit, but now I’m here. I’m tired. I’ll be going home.” 

She pulled her jacket tighter and walked into the complex. 

“Stop right there, you little.. 

Bobby moved to chase after her, but Hazel held him back “Honey, calm down. Let me talk to her. 

“What’s there to talk about? with her attitude, she should’ve married an old man and made some real money. Instead, she had to throw a tantrum at the Fulton family. Who does she think she is? 

Ever since Hazel told him Lily Initiated the divorce, Bobby’s resentment toward her had only grown. Lily had no idea where she stood. Did she even understand her own value?
