As Hayden's car accelerated, Xavier quickly matched his speed, pulling up alongside him and pressing toward the edge of the track.

Rowan's heart raced inside the car as he watched the speedometer climb rapidly.

But when Xavier caught up, Rowan steadied himself, forcing a calm tone. "Hayden, stay calm. It's all in the past now…"

"She's dead! She's dead!" The roar of the engine nearly drowned out Hayden's voice.

The veins on his forehead bulged as his eyes remained locked on the road ahead. The scene of the accident replayed in his mind—he could see the woman being flung from the car, lying in a pool of blood, her body gruesomely mangled, her eyes filled with resentment.

"It was my fault! I killed her!"

Lily had fully briefed Rowan on the details of the accident. He gripped the steering wheel with one hand, trying to stabilize the car. Meanwhile, he spoke to Hayden in a steady voice.

"The one who really caused her death was her husband—the one who encouraged her to stage the accident as a form of suicide.
