Hayden's expression darkened at Hazel's words. He walked over and pulled her away.

Unfazed, Lily depressed the gas pedal and drove off. By the time she arrived home, it was completely dark outside. She quickly ate something and noticed that Xavier still hadn't replied to her messages.

Deciding not to dwell on it, she returned to studying on her laptop.

Meanwhile, Nova Group's annual meeting notifications popped up in the corner of her screen, showing various interactions between Xavier and Sarah.

Xavier had gone with Sarah to buy a dress and had lunch with her. They were inseparable at the annual meeting. Though they hadn't openly confirmed it, their silence made everyone assume they were a couple.

The day after the holidays ended, Lupier's store reopened, but due to renovations and sample changes, it remained closed for one more day.

Taking advantage of the break, Lily decided to contact Xavier to retrieve the divorce certificate.

Her flexible work schedule wouldn't be allowed anywhere else except at the company where she had a connection with Terence. She couldn't take any more leave.

Early that morning, Lily sent Xavier a message asking if he had time to get the divorce certificate. She waited for two hours but received no reply.

She called him, but the call was rejected almost immediately. She tried again, but the same thing happened.

Frustrated, she reluctantly called Timothy.

Timothy picked up quickly. "Mrs. Fulton, how can I assist you?"

"Can you put Xavier on the phone?" Lily knew Timothy and Xavier had to be together by now.

"If you need to speak with Mr. Fulton, it's better to contact him directly," Timothy replied, clearly not wanting to act as a middleman.
