Chapter 28 King Timodore and Marshall

I

King Timodore’s eyes narrowed as he entered the Knostican palace. “Queen Asalea, I am wondering why this palace seems to be actually well kept. It is clean and all we need is a little repair here and there. Is someone staying here or you have been here always?”

“I stayed here and I am taking care of this place.” Suddenly, they heard a gentle voice from their backs.

King Timodore and Queen Asalea turned their backs to see the owner of the voice. Queen Asalea knows who he is and she smiled.

“Marshall!” Queen Asalea exclaimed while smilingly looking at Marshall, whose expression remained serious while his eyes has been fixed on King Timodore’s face.

King Timodore on one hand did not bat an eye too while looking at Marshall.

Queen Asalea’s smile suddenly faded. She cleared her throat and introduced King Timodore to Marshall.

“Marshall, this is my husband, King Timodore, and my love, he is Marshall, my close friend since childhood. I am glad that you finally met each other.” Queen Asalea tried to clear the air of awkwardness between them.

“How long have you been hiding Marshall here Queen Asalea?” With an unfathomable face, King Timodore asked while gazing at his wife.

It was Marshall who answered King Timodore’s query, “I never left the Knostican palace King Timodore; but only lately that Queen Asalea found out that I am still alive. She thought I have been killed when the Ecleteon werewolves attacked us; the same thing that I thought the Knostican Princess has been dead already.”

“I see.” King Timodore said while nodding; still, he has some questions in his mind.

“So, my Queen, when would you want to start the renovation of this Palace?” King Timodore tried to change the topic.

“I want it soonest my love; what do you think Marshall?”

“The decision is yours my Princess Asalea. I am only here, as long as you want me.” Marshall replied with a hint of gloominess in his eyes.

The way Marshall called Queen Asalea “my Princess Asalea” made King Timodore’s eyes narrowed. King Timodore can sense that her QueenAsalea is not only a friend for Marshall; the man feels something more than that and King Timodore does not like it.

Toremo nodded, “I have been thinking of that these past days already Sulie. Hence, before Queen Lea could bear the son of King Timodore, they need to be separated. We need to act both to realize this plan.”

Sulie’s face crumpled, “What do you mean Toremo?”

Toremo smiled at Sulie, “You need to continue seducing King Timodore until he falls for you, while I will try to win over Queen Lea. By the way, I learned that Queen Lea is actually the missing heir of the Knostican Kingdom. Hmm, if I could not be the King of Glodeous; how about being the King of the Knostican Kingdom, which is soon to rise again?”

Sulie quickly stood up and put her hands on her waist, looking at Toremo with wide eyes, “And how about me Toremo?! Would you just going to set aside what we have right now?!”

“Come on Sulie, you will be the Queen of Glodeous. That’s your dream right?” Toremo sweetly embraced Sulie while whispering to her right ear.

“How about us Toremo?” Sulie asked with a voice full of confusion.

Toremo whispered again, “Anytime you need me, I will be coming to Sulie, we can enjoy each other just like what we are doing now, but there will be no us to speak of if we want both to realize our dreams.”
