Instead of answering, Leonardo asked back, "Are you eating?"

The brief exchange reflected Samantha's firm decision. When it came to food, even the cold could be dealt with.

Of course, she would have preferred to eat inside where it was warmer, but Leonardo had his own principles, and she couldn't just ignore them.

She had just sat down when he handed her a blanket to cover her legs. She looked up and asked, "Aren't you worried the blanket will pick up the smell?"
