"What?" Samantha was caught off guard.

She swore she was serious about her first two attempts to smooth things over, but the last idea was just something she suggested on a whim. Bedtime stories were for kids, so why did Leonardo need one at his age?

"You don't feel like doing it?" Leonardo glanced at Samantha, sneering and still sulking. "Honestly, I didn't want to listen to your bedtime stories anyway."

Samantha was speechless. She couldn't believe how spoiled Leonardo was.

She knew she had to get him to feel better, or she'd be in trouble too. So, she bit the bullet, pleading, "But I'm dying to tell you a bedtime story. Can you give me a chance to do it, pretty please?"

Leonardo raised an eyebrow, looking a little reluctant. Eventually, he gave in. "Fine."

Samantha was at a loss for words.

She rolled her eyes as Leonardo played it up, confronting her. "Did you just roll your eyes?"

"No. I didn't," Samantha denied it immediately as she beamed. "I'm too polite for that. I'd never roll my eyes. You must be seeing things."

Leonardo smirked but didn't argue with Samantha. He was clearly in a much better mood now.
