Layla once told Samantha that gold held its worth. When she started making money, she would buy more gold.

"Layla likes gold, huh?" Jaime nodded in deep thought. "She's definitely got an eye for things."

Samantha was speechless. It felt like everything Layla liked got praised when she mentioned it.

Jaime casually joined them at the table and continued, "You should buy a house with Layla, Ethan. Getting a new place shows you're serious about marriage. I'm sure she will feel your sincerity."

He didn't hesitate and agreed immediately. "Got it."

When it was someone special, everything would fall into place, like they were meant to be. Plus, he actively pushed things forward, trying to speed things up.

Ethan had totally changed. He was no longer the man who fought against his mother's pressure to get married.

Jaime felt relieved. With him on the right track, she could finally relax. She grabbed a few quick bites and couldn't resist rising to her full height.

"I can't wait anymore. I need to check out the mall upstairs. Ethan is clueless about what the ladies like, and he won't get it right, either. I'll have to handle it myself, so you two take your time with your meal."

After saying that, she patted Ethan's shoulder. "Remember to drop Samantha home after dinner, Ethan. It's already late. You can't just invite her to dinner and let her go home alone."
