Samantha had nowhere to run. Trapped in the narrow space by Leonardo, she could only turn her head to the side. "I don't know what you're talking about."

Leonardo gripped her chin with his free hand, forcing her to face him. Then, he lowered his head to kiss her.

The warmth of his lips slowly pulled Samantha deeper, luring her into surrender. His hand, which had been gripping her chin, suddenly moved to her waist. Before she could react, her feet left the ground as Leonardo effortlessly lifted her with one arm.

Samantha yelped in surprise and wrapped her arms around his neck out of instinct.

In the next second, she was tossed onto the bed. The mattress was very soft, and she didn't feel any pain when she landed.

She tried to sit up, but Leonardo pressed her back down. He easily captured her wrists and pinned them above her head. From the beginning till then, she never had a chance to break free.

"What are you trying to do?" Samantha demanded he answer.

"What do you think?" Leonardo asked instead.

He raised a brow. The beauty mark at the corner of his eye gave him a cold and imposing allure, yet it stood in stark contrast to the intensity of his gaze. It made the mark seem almost… sultry.

He planted a kiss that was even more domineering than before, claiming her lips and stealing the breath from her lungs. Then, the arm around her back tightened.

Samantha pressed her hands against Leonardo's firm chest, but there was almost no space left between them.

His lips trailed down from her mouth to her neck. She turned her head away as unshed tears welled up in her eyes.

She pleaded, "Leonardo, you can't do this."

Leonardo lifted his head, his eyes red as they bore into her. "I can't? But he can?"

"What are you talking about?" Samantha asked in confusion. She took advantage of the opening and braced herself against the bed, retreating backward.

Her instinctive reaction stung Leonardo. He reached a hand out and pressed her head down. "Do you really dislike me that much? Are you that determined to avoid me?"
