Her novel Chapter 8

Luna went to her oƌce and as soon as she put her bag on her desk, someone knocked on her door. "Come in '' Luna said with sweetness in her voice, thinking that it was one of her coworkers. It was one of her coworkers, but it's someone she didn't expect to see. "Did you enjoy our date last night Ms. Washington? '' Michael said as he went into Luna's oƌce after closing the door. Luna looked at him, he still had a bruise on his face, and it seemed like he was physically weak. Luna acted like she's not the one who did him wrong. "What the hell happened to you? You look like shit" Luna said. "some asshole went in my house last night and tortured me like I did him or her wrong" Michael explained before sitting on Luna's small couch in front of her desk. "That's a bummer" Luna said sarcastically and brought out her sketch yesterday to leave it at the front desk. Before Luna can open her door, Michael spoke. "You know, everything could be much easier if you just agreed to my oƋer last night, Luna. You'll live a peaceful life; you don't need to hide your true identity to anyone" Michael oƋered. "First, don't call me by that name here, if someone hears you, I will make sure to make you pay. Second, I will never agree on your oƋer nor on my stupid parents' plans" Luna said in a stern voice before going out of her oƌce to bring her papers to the front desk.

After giving her papers, she grabbed her bag and went home to get ready for her training. Kelly wasn't home, Luna assumed that she already went to the headquarters. Luna changed into a grey tank top, black jogger pants, and her black rubber shoes. She tied her hair into a ponytail and grabbed her duƍe bag with extra clothes and her waterjug in it. She used her favorite bike to go to the headquarters. After a few minutes, she finally arrived and once again gave her keys to one of the agents. She went into the training room with a straight face, not wanting to start a conversation with anyone since she was still not in the mood. Adrien felt the cold aura that's coming from Luna and went to Kelly. "Hey, what's wrong with her?" Adrien asked Kelly who was busy shooting the targets. "It's better if you ask her rather than asking me" Kelly answered without looking at Adrien. Kelly felt a little mad, she never liked seeing Luna so broken, she knows how her parents treated her, she knows that Luna was used and was underestimated, so knowing that her parents were stalking her secretly made her mad. Adrien on the other hand, has no clue, but he can see how vulnerable Luna is, she's just hiding it with a straight face.

Luna went into the locker room and placed her bag in her locker. She grabbed two

Adrien went to the top floor to go to Ace's oƌce. He arrived in front of Ace's oƌce and knocked on his door. "It's open," Ace said. Adrien opened the door and went into his oƌce, closing the door behind him. "Adrien? Is there a problem? You don't usually come to my oƌce" Ace said, looking at Adrien with concern. "Uhm. Luna is..." Adrien started but couldn't continue, he couldn't function well because of how Luna was acting. "Oh, okay. I'll be in the training room in a bit" Ace said, already knowing what's happening. Adrien nodded and went out of his oƌce.

Ace grabbed his keys and his wallet from his bag and went to the training room. He saw Luna punching a punching bag aggressively, oblivious of her surroundings, but Ace wasn't surprised at all, he already knows how to calm Luna down. Ace went to Luna calmly. "Luna," Ace said in a soothing voice. Luna didn't respond and kept her focus on her punches. "Luna, you need to take a break" Ace said, trying to get her attention. "I'm fine Ace" Luna said in a stern voice. "Is that how you talk to your old man?" Ace asked to tease her a little. Luna stopped what she was doing and finally looked at Ace. Ace immediately saw the vulnerability in her eyes and looked at her with concern. "I'll treat you out, get ready, meet me in front of the building after you change your clothes and remove your hand-wraps" Ace simply said and walked away. "How?" Adrien asked once Ace came close to them. "Did you really expect that I wouldn't know how to handle her?" Ace said with a sly smirk.

Luna changed her clothes into something cleaner since she was sweating and removed her hand-wraps before meeting Ace in front of the building like he said.

"Let's go?" Ace asked when Luna walked towards him. "Where are we going anyway?" Luna asked, trying to calm down. "to your favorite place of course, my treat" Ace said and walked towards his car to open the door for Luna. Luna sat on the passenger's seat, Ace sat on the driver's seat and started driving. They arrived at a coƋee shop and Luna felt a little uneasy, it was the coƋee shop where her parents saw her. They went in and a waiter guided them to their table. "spill it, what's wrong?" Ace asked straightforwardly. "I had a date last night. Apparently, the guy knows my parents and told me that father arranged a marriage for us. He said that the wedding will happen when I turn 22, which is in a couple of months from now" Luna explained. "Why didn't you just execute him? That's what I taught you to do, if anyone did you wrong, make them pay back" Ace said. "I tried, I went into his house and made him suƋer. I thought I left him to die since he was bleeding so much, but then he still came to work earlier. Luckily, he didn't realize that the person who attacked him last night was me since I was wearing my mask and my black contact lenses" Luna said. "His name is Michael. I don't remember his last name though" Luna explained further. Ace just nodded and stood up to order at the counter. Luna was looking around her, checking if anything was suspicious.
