Chapter 50

Apr 1, 2025

The room erupted into murmurs as Danielle’s smirk widened, her presence alone enough to send shockwaves through the entire pack.

Felicia clenched her fists, feeling her wolf stir inside her, on edge.

Damien’s entire posture stiffened, his eyes burning with fury as he stepped toward Danielle. “You shouldn’t be here.”

Danielle tilted her head, amusement dancing in her gaze. “Oh, Damien, you wound me. I came all this way to see the happy family reunion, and this is how you greet me?”

Felicia narrowed her eyes, stepping forward. “Enough games. Who the hell are you? And why are you in Daphne’s body?”

Danielle’s expression twisted into something eerie, her lips curling as she let out a slow, mocking laugh.

“Oh, Felicia… That’s for me to know and for you to find out.”

Felicia’s stomach dropped at the way she said it—so casual, so cruel.

Damien’s patience snapped. His wolf flashed in his eyes, his voice coming out in a dangerous growl. “You’re not welcome here, Danielle.”

Danielle’s smirk faltered, her own eyes darkening with something unreadable. “You will regret bringing her back, Damien.”

Felicia’s heart pounded as Danielle’s cold gaze flickered back to her, filled with nothing but pure malice.

“You always ruin everything,” Danielle sneered.

Damien took a threatening step closer. “Get out. Now.”

For a second, Felicia swore she saw something shift in Danielle’s face, like a flicker of something inhuman beneath her skin.

But then, before she could react, the guards rushed forward, grabbing Danielle by the arms.

Danielle didn’t fight.

She let them escort her out, but not before she turned to Felicia one last time, her smile eerily calm.

“Enjoy your night while you can.”

And with that—she was gone.

Something Is Wrong

The tension in the room was thick, the weight of what had just happened settling heavily on everyone.

“Where are Danny and Max?”

Felicia frowned, her stomach twisting. “They were just here… they were playing around.”

Her eyes flickered to the group of children standing near the dessert table.

One of the older kids—a boy no older than ten—spoke up, his voice casual.

“They left with the crazy lady.”

The blood drained from Felicia’s face.

Her lungs locked up, her vision blurring at the edges.

No.

No, no, no.

Her body went rigid, every fiber of her being screaming as the realization hit her like a dagger to the chest.

Danielle took them.
