**Justin’s POV**
I rushed into the bathroom after Kataleya and I barely made it in time to grab her hair and hold it up. She emptied the contents of her stomach before she sat back on her heels and wiped her mouth with the back of her hand. I walked into the main office and grabbed a bottle of water from her refrigerator and took it back to her.
I looked at the Omega, who was still in the room. “Candice, Alpha Kataleya is fine. She just has not been feeling well today. I am probably going to have her stay home and I will be at the pack house working on paperwork this morning. Please make sure any food that is sent to me is sent to my office there. Thank you. Oh, and let the head cook know not to worry about bringing my mate food unless one of us links someone for the food. I don’t want to upset her stomach any more than it already is.”
She nodded her head rapidly, “I hope you feel better soon, Alpha Kataleya,” she called out, before scurrying out of our house.
I shook my head as I walked back into the bathroom. I have repeatedly told the Omegas that there was no need to bring us food while we were at our house unless we asked for it. I told them that their Alphas were capable of making some meals on their own. But, the head cook insists that they bring us food. In her words, it is her job to make sure that we are taken care of, since Alpha’s are notoriously known for not looking after their needs.
She took the water and swigged it in her mouth, then spit the water into the toilet bowl.
“Fuck, I feel awful,” she whispered.
I placed my on her forehead. “You are clammy, doesn’t feel like a fever. How about you taking the rest of the day off? Spend the day resting in our room and I will take care of everything today, my queen.”
She looked up at me, with sad doe eyes, “Are you sure, babe? I can work through the pain.”
I shook my head. “No! You need your rest. You never take any time off. Just go rest and relax, my love.”
She nodded her head. I picked her up and carried her to our room. Before I even made it out of the office, she had laid her head on my chest and was snoring softly. I gently lay her on the bed and covered her with the duvet.
‘Dr. Leigh, can you check on Kataleya for me? She is at our house in bed. She hasn’t been feeling well. She just finished getting sick and feels awfully clammy. I just wanted to make sure she was not coming down with something.’
‘Sure,” she responded, ‘Let me finish patching up Oliver from training and then I will be there. I will make sure that she is okay with you. Do you want me to check in when I am done?’
‘Yes, please. I have some business to take care of at the pack house, so I will be there for most of the day.’
‘Yes, Alpha. I will update you after I have seen your mate.’
I cut the link and headed to the pack house, linking the warriors that we had agreed to let go to the Moonlight Storm.
Once in my office, I started some of the piling of paperwork that needed my attention, while I waited for the warriors to arrive.
James was the first one to enter my office, since he is the Gamma, his office was already in the pack house, so it was easier for him to meet with me.
“What’s up?” he asked as soon as he entered. He looked around the room before he inquired about Kataleya. “Where is Alpha Kataleya?”
“Oh, she was not feeling well this morning, so I told her to take the day off and I would handle everything for her today. She hasn’t been feeling well for a little bit, but today was pretty bad. She couldn’t keep anything down and the smell of food was making her nauseous.”
He gave me a look.
