**Kataleya’s POV**

Wolves were fighting everywhere. I had tried to keep my eyes on Justin, but I had lost him in the chaos of the wolves tearing each other apart.

I felt a presence from behind and noticed Oliver’s dark grey wolves rushing to get to my side.

I barely made it out of the way as one of the wolves tried to attack my left flank. The moment I dodged, I aimed for his throat, going for the easy kill. My goal was to kill. Today was not the day to “play” with my prey. I felt searing pain rushing up my side. Fuck, I could tell Justin was injured, but I was not able to see him.

I saw Aziel and Gael approaching from the other side. ‘Gael, go find Alpha Justin and help him. Keep an eye on him and alert me if I am needed.’ I commanded through the link.

He whimpered as he fought my command. ‘Alpha,’ he begged through the link, ‘Alpha Justin commanded me to stay near you. I am not going to let you out of my sight. You are my priority. He told me to tell you that he would be fine and you could be made at him later. I can’t disobey his command. He pushed the full weight of it on me. I am sorry, Alpha.’

He tilted his head in submission. I looked at the other two and I could tell by the look in their eyes that they had been commanded too. Fuck. The fucking bastard knew I would do this, so he did the next thing. He prevented me from fully commanding them.

‘Fine. First chance, you see him, you tell me how he is doing. I don't care how bad it is. I need to know, Gael.’

He nodded his head and I could tell his wolf let out a sigh of relief when he realized I was not going to force the command over him.

Another wolf attacked me from the right side and was able to scratch and tear into my side. Fuck, I hissed as Skye let out a loud roar, causing the ground to feel like it was shaking. She was pissed now.

We tore through the rogues, helping our warriors as needed. Occasionally, I would feel pain radiating from different parts of my body and I could tell Justin was hurting. I recognize the few times he must have gotten severely injured because he had tried to block me from our bond. The first time it happened, I yelled through the link. I will be damned if he hides what is happening from me. I would be damned if he died during this attack, simply because I could not feel his emotions and pain.

I side-stepped another wolf that had attacked me from the side. Before I could even retaliate, Oliver and Aziel stepped to my flanks and worked together to take him down. The rogue did not stand a chance with him.

I felt another wave of pain radiating through my spine and my left flank, to the point it was starting to hurt to walk. Fuck, I need to find my mate. I could tell he needed my help.

Every time we cleared out some of the rogues, it felt as if there were five more that were coming to take the old ones' place. We needed more reinforcements.

I called for a code red through the link, alerting every pack member to take shelter in case any of these rogues slipped and demanding that any available warrior that was not on patrol come to the eastern border to help their brothers and sisters.

The moment I spotted Justin, I felt a gut-wrenching pain in my left flank. Fuck! One of the rogues had latched onto my flank and, chewing through the bone. Skye let out a howl as we fought to get the rogue off of my left.
