Chapter 346 The Muse Inspired My Extraordinary Performance
Upon hearing these words, Adrian gave a slight smile. “Indeed, she hast. changed much.”
“Who would have thought that you are such a skilled artist, Dr. Sutton.”
“Truth be told, I’m not much of an artist. I dabble here and there, but I’ve never had formal training. I guess you could say that it was the muse that inspire my exceptional performance.”
Josiah asked, “How old was she at that time?”
“She was in her sophomore year,” Adrian said. “I happened to visit Harborbrook Medical University when I returned to the country for an exchange that year!
Josiah tilted his head to look at the painting, giving a slight nod. “Does this small path still exist in the medical university now?”
“I’m not sure. You should ask Lysander about it.”
Josiah turned around, looking toward Ivsander, who was in the kitchen trying to make herself less noticeable while watching the kettle boil. “Does it?”
Lysander pointed to her throat, indicating she couldn’t speak.
“Oh, I forgot. Your voice hasn’t recovered yet,
Josiah slowly approached, one hand resting on the bar counter. His fingers grazed her neck nonchalantly. “Does it still hurt?”
Lysander frowned in displeasure.
“Since you can’t speak yet, are you able to go to work?
Not far off, Adrian answered for her, “She won’t be consulting patients right away. She would have to first familiarize herself with the hospital’s environment and procedures, then get to know her new colleagues. There’s no need for her to say much, and I would be there to assist her.”
After listening,
jah said softly, “Thanks for taking the trouble, Dr. Sutton.”
Adrian didn’t respond; he simply sat down on the couch.
The medicine Lysander had bought was placed on the coffee table. He rummaged through it, pulling out a syringe and a tetanus injection. “Lysander, I might need your help.”
Lysander nodded.
Just then, the water had started to boil.
She retrieved a fresh bottle of purified water from the fridge and mixed it with the recently boiled water to create a drinkable lukewarm mixture. She then carried it to the living room and handed the water to Adrian.
Lysander methodically applied disinfectant with an alcohol swab, injected the medication, and finally pressed a clean cotton swab on the wound to stop the bleeding. Simultaneously, she covered the used syringe with a protective cap before discarding it into the trash bin.
Adrian pressed a cotton swab to his wound, leaning his head back against the couch. “It hurts quite a bit,” he remarked.
Lysander glanced at him, then typed: Did I press too hard? It’s been years since I’ve given an intr injection.
“It’s not your fault. It’s just that I haven’t had an intramuscular injection in years.”
Lysander pointed at the wound on his arm.
He had injured his right arm, and she had specifically chosen his uninjured left arm to administe tetanus shot just a while ago. At that moment, he was using his right hand to press a cotton swab te the bleeding. However, his wound was still unattended.
After waiting for a moment, Lysander carefully removed the cotton swab, noting that the injection wound had stopped bleeding. Only then did she prepare a fresh alcohol swab. Squatting in front of the couch, she proceeded to treat the injury on his arm.
