She had been tirelessly working for days, pulling strings, spending money, and exhausting herself to deal with her father's illness. Her body and soul were utterly drained.

Yet here he was, lecturing her on propriety.

Who did he think he was?

“What right do you have, Casper? Who are you to me? My life and my affairs are none of your business. You have no authority over me. Let me go.”

She struggled against him, her hands pounding against his strong, well-defined fingers.

Her eyes blazed with resentment.

“What if I don't let go?” His hand moved to her pale neck, pulling her closer. “Why are you so hostile towards me? Did I help you wrongly?”

“I don't need your help; I can handle it myself.” She sneered, truly not needing his uninvited intervention. “Mr. Casper, you really have a knack for meddling.”

“Yeah, I'm a damn fool for caring.” He gripped her neck, his kiss more angry than tender.

It was forceful, angry, and meant to teach a lesson.

He pinned her down, not allowing her to resist or refuse.

Even in front of the driver and Dillon, he began to tear open her blouse.

“Slap.”

A harsh slap landed on his face.

Eliza, in a panic, clutched her clothes. “Stop it.”

The man moved his sore jaw, his eyes burning with both lust and anger. He took a deep breath and told the driver, “Take us home.”

Throughout the ride, Eliza was terrified.

She tried to maintain a semblance of calm.

In every way, she was no match for Casper.

She wasn’t as strong, as quick, and what’s worse, she couldn’t even leave if she wanted to.

The car drove directly into Welton Estate.

Before she could get out, Casper had lifted her onto his shoulder.

“Casper, can you not do this?”

He remained silent, his face stormy and oppressive.

He wanted to possess her.

To make her submit physically.

A twisted possession, met with fierce resistance and endless pain.

His chest and back were covered in bloody scratches from her.

He didn’t care.

Even if he were to die on her now, he wanted her to know how desperately he wanted her.

“Casper, I'm not your personal belonging. Can you please respect me...”

“I want to marry you, Valerie. Marry me, will you?”

While besieging her, he expressed his feelings.

Eliza glared at him fiercely, her eyes filled with disappointment. “Do you think by having a woman’s body, you can have her heart? Casper, you will never understand women, and you will never win the love of the woman you desire.”

“I can make you the most honored woman in Falconridge. Whatever you want, I can give you.” He looked at her longingly, as if waiting for her affirmation.
