"Bro, you're still not well. Take it easy, Zach isn't going to make a move right away," Caleb said, quickly stepping in to steady Casper.

From what Casper knew about Zach, it was unlikely he'd just attack head-on. He was probably scheming something else already.

"I need to handle this myself, and the sooner, the better."

Casper changed out of his hospital gown. Despite the sharp pain in his back, he couldn't let it slow him down. He had to make sure the kids were safe. He wasn't going to give Zach any chance to hurt him or his family this time.

"Bro..." Caleb tried once more to change his mind.

But Casper was firm. "Don’t bother trying to convince me. This is too important to mess up."

Eliza walked over, looking worried. She wanted Casper to stay and heal, but she was also anxious about the kids' safety.

"How about I stay at the old house for a few days? You can send some extra people over. I doubt Zach would dare to cause trouble there."

Casper nodded, liking her plan. "Don't worry, I'll make sure we have more people there. I won't let anything happen to you or the kids."

"Are you going to meet him?" Eliza asked, gripping Casper's hand with concern. "After all that time in jail, Zach's full of resentment. He's not like before. If you push him, he might not just back down like he used to..."
