"Make sure no one gets out. I'm gonna make a call." Audrey held Brock's hand tight and hurried inside.
The little one seemed to sense the tension. Seeing his grandma so worried, he gently patted her chest, "Don't worry, Grandma. Dad will bring my brother back."
"That's right."
Once she got through, Audrey told Casper about Brett being taken, without skipping a beat. The seriousness in the man's voice was palpable, "Alright, I'm on my way back."
"What's up, Mr. Casper?" Dillon noticed Casper's sudden shift in mood.
Casper clenched his phone with a vice grip, gritting his teeth, "Zach had someone sneak into the mansion and take Brett."
"The kid's gone?" Dillon was taken aback. With all the security around, someone managed to pull that off? "What's the plan, Mr. Casper?"
"Head back to the mansion first."
"Got it."
When Casper got back to the mansion, they'd already identified the suspect on the surveillance footage. The figure on screen was short and slight, strikingly familiar to him.
He turned to Dillon, "Who does she remind you of?"
"I think... she looks a lot like Fiona." From her walk, the glimpse of her eyes, and her figure, it seemed likely.
"Zach, looks like you didn't learn a thing from your time in prison," Casper wasn't in the mood for small talk with a lowlife. "Cut the crap. Where's my son?"
"Are you sure you're not lost? How would I know where your son is? I'm not his dad," Zach laughed, shushing Casper. "But hey, if you want your son to call me dad, I wouldn't mind."
"Zach, watch it," Dillon warned sternly.
Zach laughed almost hysterically. He gulped down his wine, flaunting his arrogance. Dillon couldn't stand Zach's smugness and knocked the glass from his hand, shouting, "Zach, if you don't want to end up dead, spill the truth. You know what Mr. Casper's capable of. Piss him off this time, and it won't just be another stint in prison."
"So what," Zach sneered, "If I can't get what I want, what's death to me?"
