The doorbell rang out of nowhere.

Eliza gently slipped Casper's hand off her waist, "I'll check who it is."

She threw on a robe, still barefoot, and made her way to the door.

Peeking through the peephole... it was Gabe.

Why was he here again?

Eliza hesitated about opening the door for him.

But the persistent doorbell cut through her indecision.

As she opened the door, Gabe stood there looking a bit surprised at the sight of a woman who seemed like she’d just rolled out of bed. "Did I catch you at a bad time?"

"What's up?"

"There's a boat trip today, want to join for some rowing later?" He asked with the easy familiarity of an old pal.

Eliza did have rowing on her agenda.

But she wasn't sure when exactly.

There was a man sprawled out in her bed, after all, and she couldn't just ditch him to hang out with Gabe, a friend she barely knew.

"You go on ahead; I'll decide later." She declined politely.

Gabe didn't press, "Alright then, I'll head over first."

Once the door was shut, Eliza breathed a sigh of relief.

Only to find herself face-first into a solid chest.

Casper was standing there, bare-chested and with just a towel around his waist, clearly fresh from a shower, his hair still damp.

His long arms wrapped around her between his body and the door, leaning in slightly, "Is that Allysha's boyfriend again?"

"Yeah." She looked up at him, being honest.

He seemed a bit annoyed, "What's his deal? Is he into you?"

"What would he see in me? We've only known each other for two days."

She tried to push him away to get ready, only for him to pin her against the door.

In the blink of an eye, his lips were on hers, possessive and demanding.
